Summary

In 2017, I graduated for Industrial Engineering at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. In January 2019, I started working for PROPOS Software as QRM Advisor & Project Manager. Before that, I worked for Kooima Company (Rock Valley, Iowa) as Process Improvement Engineer, where I was responsible for implementing Quick Response Manufacturing. During the 3 years that I worked for Kooima Company, I found how QRM helps a high mix/low volume job shop to reduce lead times by over 30% and the increase of on time delivery by over 35%.

My goal as Process Improvement Engineer at Kooima Company was to advise the management on how to reduce production lead times and increase machine and operator efficiency. In the course of 3 years we successfully implemented Quick Response Manufacturing, resulting in a lead time reduction of over 30% and the increase of on time delivery by over 15%.

As part of the project we implemented PROPOS software, a production scheduling software based on the principles of QRM and Lean.
